Hide IP Online through a virtual private network

A virtual private network can be used to hide your IP address online. Hiding your real IP address can be used for a couple of things. In particular, I have to hide my IP address because I live in China. For me, I have to hide from Big Brother – I don’t want the Chinese government seeing my personal blog because I often say bad things about China. Two, I want to get access to Facebook and YouTube – they’re blocked in china. You can use the same trick for any network that blocks sites. Three, I want to access American sites like Netflix and Hulu (actually, mostly Pandora), and I need an American IP address to do this. This is why I hide IP online – it’s because my Chinese IP address is pretty much useless!
