Baselines that shape the essentials of the human body are placed on the manikin to
using a cotton ribbon: the Bolduc.
The main lines are:
- Chest
- The size
- Hips and small hips
- Circles front and back
- The neck
- The line shoulder
- The side
- The line of armhole
These specific points of the human body symbolized by these lines are all benchmarks for
construction of the garment
The flat model
The flat model s relies on the basic pattern is ProShape Rx the footprint of the human body reproduced
dish:
- THIS IS development on a flat surface shapes of the body.
- It is independent of the mode
There are several basic patterns, marked by each body part:
- Base corsage
- Base skirt
- Base sleeve
- Base pants
Starting from the basic pattern corresponding to the model to be produced (base skirt, base
bodice ….) for a size, we realize the boss “model” or “execution” by drawing flat.
It must meet the requirements of the sketch given (shape, style, …).
4.3. Construction of the flat model
- Decals boss based on the pattern paper
- Give the basic pattern and reproduces the unique character sketches given specific

If the model does not require cutting, we obtain directly the patronage, if there are cuts
it will take each piece separately.
